Great Turnout...

Mohave High School had a great turnout for their College Fair last night. All of the students seemed to enjoy the evening and they got to meet representatives from a handful of great colleges in Arizona. It was nice to see the students as always but it was an extra special treat to meet their family members and to see their family just as excited to see them getting ready for college!

Academy of Building Industries - Open House

Last night I attended the Open House at the Academy of Building Industries, located in Ft. Mohave. Students brought their parents to school and they all enjoyed a barbeque as well as presentations from students from various classes. Mohave Community College participated by having a table of information so students could see the possiblities of continuing their education after high school. I spoke with many students who are excited about graduating and would like to attend Mohave Community College. Quite a few students were interested in Culinary, Game Design and Nursing. I look forward to helping these students become a part of MCC and helping them achieve their career goals.

Relay For Life Kick-Off Party

Diane Olson and myself will be attending the Relay for Life kick-off party tonight at the Avi Casino at 6pm. This is a great organization to help raise money for the American Cancer Society. Last year a group of employees from Mohave Community College participated in the all night walking event and as you can see from the pictures we had a grand old time!

If you would like to join the Bullhead City Campus walking group or if you would like to start your own group please let me know!

MALC Students Compass

On September 16th a group of students from Mohave Accelerated Learning Center came with their Career teacher Ms. Christine Seabury to take our Compass Assessment here at Mohave Community College, on the Bullhead City campus. Ms. Seabury wants her students to know the importance of going to college and show them what it takes to get into college. By taking the Compass Assessment now before they graduate they will be able to take classes here at MCC during the last semester of their Senior year. This will give them a head start on their college education. If you would like to get a head start on your college education come down to the Bullhead City campus and we can get you started!
